Today we conducted a lockdown drill as part of our regular safety procedures. These drills are an important part of our commitment to ensuring that students and staff are prepared to respond calmly and appropriately in the event of an emergency situation (fire, earthquake, or lockdown).
We recognize that this type of drill can feel unsettling. Please be assured that the drill was carried out in a controlled and age-appropriate manner, with staff guiding students throughout the process.
Lockdown drills are completed in alignment with our Emergency Preparedness Policy and provincial guidelines and help reinforce routines that prioritize student safety.
