As an independent Christian school, Maple Ridge Christian School receives only 40-50% of the government funding that public schools do. Combined with tuition, this funding covers our day-to-day operational expenses.

A portion of your tuition is tax deductible. Charitable donation receipts are issued in February. MRCS adheres to Canada Revenue Agency guidelines for tax receipts.
How to Determine Your Annual Tuition Rate
- Find the grade of your eldest child.
- Follow across to the column that indicates the total number of children you would like to enrol at MRCS.
The following are included in tuition:
- Textbooks and regularly occurring field trips are included in tuition.
- School supplies for kindergarten to grade 5 are included in tuition.
- Training and participation on extracurricular athletics teams and the drama production are included in tuition.
Additional Fees
Families should note these additional fees:
- Application fee: non-refundable fee of $200 is required from all new families applying to the school.
- Re-registration fee: The annual re-registration fee for current families is $100 per family if paid before November 15 and $200 if paid after November 15.
- Out-of-School Care Program: fees are not included in tuition. Learn more about our Out-of-School Care program.
Other possible fees:
- School supplies for grade 6 and up
- Rental of band instrument for grade 7 and up
- High School Spring Break service trip
- Grade 12 grad trip
- Optional hot “fun” lunch (operated twice a month by parent volunteers)
- Grade 8 Middle school grad hoodie
- High School yearbook
- Travel expenses for extra-ordinary out-of-town athletics event
Payment
Payment Options
Families have the following options for paying tuition:
- one payment
- two equal payments
- monthly automatic withdrawal beginning in July before the September school year begins
We do not currently have scholarships and tuition aid available.
Acceptable Methods of Payment
- PAD – Pre-Authorized Payment (with signed pre-authorized form)
- Cheque (post-dated cheques): One payment (due on July 1) or two payments (due on July 1 and January 1)
Tax Receipt
As Maple Ridge Christian School is a registered society in British Columbia, a portion of your tuition is considered a donation to a non-profit organization by Canada Revenue Agency and you will receive a tax receipt in February for this portion.
