All summer camps are open to students in Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Mission, Langley, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam and beyond. (You do not need to be a student at Maple Ridge Christian School to register.)

Sports Camps

All summer sports camps are co-ed and take place in our beautiful high school gym (basketball, volleyball, badminton) and our new grass field (soccer).

$200 per person per camp

Maple Ridge Basketball Camp

July 13-17, 2026

Session A1. Gr. 5-7 • 9:00 to 11:30 AM
Session A2. Gr. 8-10 • 12:30 to 3:00 PM

Head Instructor: Brad Shearing, head coach of the Maple Ridge Christian School senior boys basketball team. Mr. Shearing is an alumnus of MRCS and has devoted several years to bringing excellence to the MRCS high school basketball program, including a fourth place finish at BC Provincials in 2024.

Maple Ridge Volleyball Camp

July 20-24, 2026

Session B1. Gr. 5-7 • 9:00 to 11:30 AM
Session B2. Gr. 8-10 • 12:30 to 3:00 PM

Head Instructor: Anna Ju, Maple Ridge Christian School teacher and former university-level volleyball athlete. Ms. Ju coached the MRCS senior girls team to clinch a spot at volleyball provincials in fall 2025.

Maple Ridge Badminton Camp

July 27-31, 2026

Session C1. Gr. 5-7 • 9:00 to 11:30 AM
Session C2. Gr. 8-10 • 12:30 to 3:00 PM

Head Instructor: Blaine Unger, long-time Maple Ridge Christian School teacher and badminton coach. Mr. Unger recently coached the middle school badminton team to an undefeated tournament.

Maple Ridge Soccer Camp

July 27-31, 2026

Session D1. Gr. 5-7 • 9:00 to 11:30 AM
Session D2. Gr. 3-4 • 12:30 to 3:00 PM

Head Instructor: Tessa Makway, TWU Soccer Alumna who holds a BSc in Human Kinetics. She was nominated for the Karina LeBlanc Game Changer Award, a British Columbia-based youth sports leadership prize.

Location:

Basketball, volleyball, and badminton sports camps take place in the high school gym at 12140 204B St. Maple Ridge, BC. Access to the high school gym is on the south side of the building, adjacent to the grass field.

Soccer sports camp takes place on the new grass field at 12140 204B St. Maple Ridge, BC on the south side of the building.

Summer Sports Camp Refunds, Cancellations, and Policies

Refunds

If you need to withdraw your child from camp unexpectedly, refunds will be issued as follows:

  • Up to June 1: Full refund, less a $30 admin fee
  • June 1-30: Refund less 50%
  • After June 30: No refunds

No refunds or credits will be provided for missed days due to illness, vacation, appointments, or other absences.

Cancellation

In the event we must cancel a program due to low registration, a full refund will be issued.

These day camps are designed to provide children with engaging, hands-on experiences, opportunities to make new friends, and plenty of summer fun.

STEM = Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics

Location: Maple Ridge Christian School • 12140 204B St. Maple Ridge
Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Ages: Children entering Grades 1-6 in September

Art Adventure Camp

Session E1. Gr. 1-6 • July 13-17
Session E2. Gr. 1-6 • July 20-24

Children will explore their creativity through a variety of art projects, painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, outdoor activities, games, and collaborative creations.

STEM Inventors Camp

Session F1. Gr. 1-6 • August 10-14
Session F2. Gr. 1-6 • August 17-21

Young inventors will enjoy exciting hands-on STEM activities, including science experiments, engineering challenges, building projects, problem-solving activities, and opportunities to explore how things work through creativity and innovation.

Camp Fees & Registration Options

One Week: $275
Any Two Weeks: $500*

*Save $50 when registering for any two weeks!

Participants may attend consecutive or non-consecutive weeks and may combine Art Adventure Camp and STEM Inventors Camp weeks to qualify for the two-week discount.

Art Adventure Camp & STEM Inventors Camp

Head Instructor: Lizette Tsuchiya, Out of School Program Manager at Maple Ridge Christian School. Ms. Tsuchiya has over 16 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and has also worked as an Educational Assistant. A trained artist with a Diploma in Mexican Art, she is passionate about creating engaging, creative environments where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore, learn, and grow.

Instructor: Jordana Dickson, Middle School Educational Assistant at Maple Ridge Christian School. Ms. Dickson has a deep passion for working with children and youth and is committed to creating environments where they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive. Her positive attitude, creativity, and caring nature help foster meaningful connections with the children she works with.

Instructor: Iromie Daniels, High School Educational Assistant and Early Childhood Educator at Maple Ridge Christian School. Ms. Daniels brings over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and is passionate about supporting children as they grow, learn, and play. She is deeply committed to giving back to the community and enjoys inspiring children’s curiosity, creativity, and imagination.

Instructor: Simon Siu, Middle School Educational Assistant at Maple Ridge Christian School. Mr. Siu holds a Bachelor of Science degree and enjoys spending time with children through games, activities, and learning experiences. He finds great joy in watching children grow in confidence, character, and faith while building positive relationships with their peers and mentors.

Refunds

If you need to withdraw your child from camp unexpectedly, refunds will be issued as follows:
Art Adventure Camp

  • Cancellation on or before July 3, 2026: Full refund less a $30 administration fee.
  • Cancellation from July 4–10, 2026: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation after July 10, 2026: No refund.

STEM Inventors Camp

  • Cancellation on or before July 20, 2026: Full refund less a $30 administration fee.
  • Cancellation from July 21–30, 2026: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation after July 31, 2026: No refund.

If a child is registered for both weeks of the same camp, the refund will be calculated separately for each week based on the applicable cancellation date.

Camp Cancellation by MRCS

Summer camps require a minimum number of registrations to operate. If the minimum enrollment is not met, MRCS reserves the right to cancel a camp session.

In the event that a camp is cancelled by MRCS, families will receive a full refund of all fees paid.
