Dear High School Parents,
We wanted to provide you with an early update regarding our end-of-year schedule and assessment days for high school students as we know families are often making plans at that time of year.
The following information gives an overview of that last week of school for our Grade 9-12 students only.
Our Middle School and High School students will have their last day of school on Friday, June 19, 2026, which will be an 11:30 AM dismissal time.
Last Day of Classes for Grades 9-12 – Tuesday, June 16, 2026
- This will be a full day of classes.
- Graduation Ceremony Rehearsal (Grade 12 only): 12:20-1:25 PM
- Attendance is mandatory for all graduates.
- Parents are not required to attend.
- High School Awards Ceremony: 2:00-3:00 PM (ES Gym)
- Parents are welcome to attend.
- Families will be notified in advance if their child will be receiving an award.
Assessment Days – June 17-19, 2026
- These days are dedicated to final assessments.
- Regular classes will not be in session. Teachers will be monitoring the assessments and study room.
- Students are expected to be available and present for their scheduled assessment times.
- A detailed assessment schedule will be shared closer to these dates.
- We ask that families prioritize attendance during assessment days. Students will only be excused in cases of extreme circumstances, and these must be communicated to the leadership team () by the parent ahead of time. Missing an assessment without appropriate arrangements will impact a student’s final mark.
Between Assessments
- Students who are not able to go home between assessments will have access to a quiet, supervised study room.
- Students in this space will be expected to study quietly and use the time productively.
Important Note
This schedule reflects a shift back toward more formal final assessments with dedicated study time. We believe that providing dedicated time for studying and writing assessments, without regular class obligations, best supports students in demonstrating their learning.
Thank you for your support as we seek to finish the year well. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Warm regards,
Stacy Sowerby
Vice Principal of Learning and Programs
