Pay Transparency Report

Pay Transparency Report

Under British Columbia’s Pay Transparency Act, employers in B.C. publish a pay transparency report by November 1 each year. MRCS’s report for the previous fiscal year is available below.

What the report shows

The report compares pay across gender categories for our  employees during the reporting year. It includes:

  • Hourly wage gaps: the difference in average (mean) and middle (median) hourly pay.
  • Overtime: differences in overtime pay and overtime hours worked.
  • Bonus pay: differences in bonus pay received.
  • Pay quartiles: how each gender category is represented across four pay bands, from lowest to highest paid.

How to read it

A pay gap is not the same thing as unequal pay for equal work. The report compares the pay of all employees in one group with all employees in another. Gaps usually reflect how people are spread across roles, seniority levels and working patterns. They do not mean that two people in the same job are paid differently.

Our approach

MRCS sets pay using defined salary ranges as per our compensation report for each role and reviews compensation regularly to make sure it is fair and consistent.
