Here is what’s happening at MRCS for the week of November 18.
1. Parent/Teacher Conferences
Sign up notices for the P/T interviews have been sent out today. They will be held on Thursday, November 28 from 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM. Please note that due to the P/T Conferences, there will be no school for K-12 that day.
The sign up deadline is 1:30 PM on Wednesday, November 27. Please click here to sign up for P/T interviews. If possible, please sign up using a computer as it is more user friendly.
There are three different groups: K-8, High School and Mr. Davison. To get a different group, use the “more sign up groups” tab on the top right. Remember to choose the correct teacher top tab before picking a time slot.
To meet with Mrs. Wiersma, please email her at . Ms. Reimer will also be available for High School Academic Advising that day. Please use the same Sign Up link to register for a time to meet with her.

2. Grad Christmas Purdy’s Fundraiser
The graduating class are having their yearly Christmas Purdy’s fundraiser. If you know a grad, please ask them to send you their personal link letter, so the fundraising will go directly to them.
If you do not know any grads, your order profits will be put towards the whole grad class. Orders will be done online at https://fundraising.purdys.com/join.aspx/953-123311. Join the campaign “Grad 2025 Christmas Fundraiser”.
Please note orders are due by Tuesday, November 26. Pick-Up will be ready by December 6.

3. Hot Lunch
This week’s hot lunch is Pizza Hut on Thursday, November 21.
Please note orders for the following hot lunch on December 5 (Hot Dogs and TCBY frozen yogurt) are due Thursday, November 28.
Make sure to place orders for fall hot lunches on Munch a Lunch and purchase altogether or week by week.

We are still looking for sponsors! If you would like to sponsor a hot lunch, please use Hot Lunch Sponsorship Sign Up to sign up for a specific date. Should you wish to sponsor, we offer advertisements of your logo and website link. However, if you’re making a personal donation, there will be no advertisement but you will be issued a tax receipt.

4. Volunteers Needed
As Christmas approaches, we are looking for volunteers to help assist in some upcoming events in December.
Christmas Market
December 4
3:00-5:00 PM – Helping set up for the market in the gym
December 5
8:30 AM – 3:00 PM – Gift Wrappers & Shopping Helpers
(Please include the hours you can help out.)
Christmas Concert
December 19
12:45-1:30 PM
6:15-7:00 PM
Parking attendant help for afternoon and evening concerts

5. Christmas Market
Thank you for all your generous donations so far! Currently we are in need of more wrapping paper and other wrapping necessities to ensure that every gift is wrapped and ready for students to bring home.
We are still needing and accepting gift donations! Here is a list of ideas, however we will accept any like new or new items that can be regifted!

- Christmas decor/ornaments
- New playdough
- Costume jewelry
- Books (Kids & Adults)
- Teenager gifts
- New colouring books
- New craft kits
- Mugs / Tumblers
- Board games
- Hockey cards & Pokemon cards
Students will be able to purchase these items during our Christmas Market on Thursday, December 5 in the gym! All items will be priced at $2 and will be gift wrapped by our events team and other parent volunteers.
Any remaining items will be donated after the event. All funds raised will go to Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Christmas Hamper society to continue the theme of giving.

6. Coffee and Connect
Mark your calendars for our next Coffee and Connect event! It will be held right after drop off on December 4, from 8:30-9:00 AM in the foyer. For those interested, the Parent Prayer Walk will take place right after with Andrea.
7. Calendar Reminder
Just a reminder, classes will conclude with an early dismissal on December 20.
Christmas break is as per the scheduled two weeks with our return to school on January 6, 2025.
