1. Book Fair – Focus On The Family
On Thursday, February 27, MRCS is grateful to partner with Focus on the Family on their first ever school book fair. Come find an amazing selection of books (including Adventures in Odyssey), family resources, merchandise, and more.
Parents are invited to view the selection in person after school from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.
Note that parents must purchase items for their child(s) during this time, students K-8 will not be able to purchase items during school hours.
Also note while select books will be available in person, you can purchase most books at a special school rate online – the link will be available between February 27 – March 30.
2. Looking for Host Families
We are now in the process of looking for new host families for the 2025-2026 school year. Students come from a variety of countries, and they are placed with a caring, English-speaking, Christian family. Students may stay for a few months up to a year.
If hosting one or more of these students interests you and your family, please email Karen Bowering, International Program and Homestay Program Coordinator at: for more information about the Homestay program.
3. Community Survey
Your voice is important! MRCS is committed to ensuring all members of our community have a sense of belonging. Please take two minutes to complete our Spring Community Survey and share your insights. This will help us better understand our community’s experiences and priorities as we strengthen the sense of belonging at MRCS.
4. Anastasia – The Musical
The Maple Ridge Christian School Drama Department is proud to present this year’s play— Anastasia. Based on the book by Terrence McNally, Anastasia tells the tale of Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia who may have escaped the execution of her family. Years later, an amnesiac orphan of similar appearance teams up with two con-men in order to uncover the secrets of her past.
Tickets for Anastasia can be purchased through the Theatre in the Country website with shows through March 5-8.
5. Hot Lunch
The next hot lunch will be Boston Pizza on Thursday, February 20.

6. Save The Date: Grandfriends!
Our annual Grandfriends event will be in the morning on Friday, February 28. This will be an event to celebrate the families in our community, come together for some tea and snacks, and see how God is working in the lives of our students.
7. Spring Break
As we near the opening of our new building expansion, we are thrilled to announce that we have planned occupancy for the new education wing! In order to give our staff enough time to transition into these new spaces to ensure these areas are ready for learning, please note the dates for the extended Spring Break.
