2024/2025 Staffing Updates

Welcome

Kindergarten: Kaitlyn Lozinski
Kaitlyn (2019 alumna) will be joining MRCS as our new Kindergarten teacher. Kaitlyn has a heart for this community that has been such a blessing to her. Kaitlyn graduated from the TWU Education program this spring and is excited to return “home.”

Grade 3: Clara Sheridan
Clara will be joining MRCS as a Grade 3 teacher. As we continue to add students each year, there is a need for a second Grade 3 teacher. Clara graduated from the TWU Education program this spring. She is excited to join our growing community, as she has heard positive feedback about the community from people she knows within it.

Changes

Grade 1: Jacqueline Fouad
Jacqueline has filled various roles within the community over her time as a teacher on the elementary team. Most recently, she has provided teacher prep coverage on a part-time basis. She is excited to be able to fill the one year Grade 1 maternity leave position for Mrs. Tanious. She has a heart for the students of our school and works to build relationships of trust with them.

Lana Maki
Ms. Maki is on an extended leave as she navigates a chronic health issue. As such, she has stepped away from her leadership team role. Any questions regarding the International program can be directed to Mrs. Karen Bowering. Ms. Maki appreciates prayers from Matthew 6:10 for her situation. Her leave will continue through the end of the school year.

Karen Bowering
Ms. Bowering has stepped into the role of Interim International Program Coordinator this year and will continue to serve in this role next year along with her role as Homestay Coordinator. We appreciate her willingness to serve in this capacity and her passion to see our international students thrive during their experience at MRCS.

Farewell

Holly Tigchelaar
Holly joined MRCS in the 2022/23 school year in her full-time teaching role. We have greatly enjoyed having her as part of the teaching team. Her collaborative spirit and care for the children will leave a lasting impression upon us all. Holly and her husband are moving to the USA where they are pursuing new adventures. She will be greatly missed.

Peter Enns
Peter joined MRCS this school year teaching high school math and science. Mr. Enns will be exploring new endeavours. We appreciate the support Mr. Enns has shown the student body by faithfully attending many sporting events and helping supervise student council events. We wish him all the best as he moves forward in this next step of life.
