Town Hall Follow Up

Hello Everyone,

It was so good to have such a good turnout of 120 members on November 23 at our Town Hall.

It is good to see our community come together to discuss and work through different questions in a spirit of unity with a desire to see Maple Ridge Christian School flourish.

With small groups, we were able to dialogue through understanding how our posture of hospitality aligns with core positions based on our foundational beliefs. As we were reminded, the theme verse for the school from Mark 12:30-31 provides a context of how and why we do this work: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

There was an opportunity to submit further thoughts and questions for the task force to consider as they will meet again in the new year. If you would like to submit some questions, you can do so by clicking here.

As was noted at the town hall, we anticipate having another town hall meeting later this school year once the task force works to incorporate feedback into some next steps.

We appreciate the involvement of the society in our shared mission to equip, train, and inspire students to lead a life worthy of their calling to transform the world for the glory of God.

Thanks again for your support.
