Dear MRCS Families,
As our school community continues to grow, we want to take a moment to provide clarity and reassurance regarding several leadership and staffing postings that are currently open or will be opening soon.
First and most importantly, we want to assure you that our current leadership team remains fully in place and committed to MRCS. The leadership postings you may have seen are new roles, added intentionally to strengthen our capacity as we grow. They are not replacements for existing leaders.
As enrollment has steadily increased and is projected to continue growing toward and beyond 500 students in the coming years, we are taking proactive steps to ensure our students, families, and staff continue to be well supported. Strengthening leadership at key levels allows us to sustain strong learning environments, clear communication, and the Christ-centred culture that defines MRCS.
In addition to these leadership roles, there are also teaching and support position postings that reflect both natural transitions and continued growth:
- We have an opening in our intermediate program due to the upcoming retirement of Mary Owen, for whom we are deeply grateful for many years of faithful service; Ms. Bethany Spyksma will be moving from Grade 4 to take up the Grade 1 opening
- Our Grade 5 is opening due to a change in role for Mr. Reid as he moves out of Grade 5 to take on PE coverage for K-5 next school year
- Additional postings reflect increased staffing needs as our programs and enrollment continue to expand
All current and upcoming opportunities are posted on our Employment page.
We encourage you to reach out to those you know that would be a great fit to work at MRCS!
We recognize that change can raise questions, and we want to be clear that these steps are being taken with care, foresight, and a deep commitment to our mission. Our goal is to protect what makes MRCS special while ensuring we have the leadership and staffing structures needed to support students well into the future.
Thank you for your continued trust, partnership, and prayers as we walk through this season of growth together.
