Pets on Campus Reminder
A gentle reminder that pets are not permitted in the school building during the school day unless they are certified service animals. We have members of our community with significant allergies, including anaphylactic responses, and even brief exposure can pose serious health risks.
If you do have a certified service animal on campus, we kindly ask that you check in at the office upon arrival so we can proactively support those with allergies and ensure everyone remains in a safe space.
We know how loved pets are, and we appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of all students and staff. Thank you for your partnership in caring for our community.
Student-Led Conferences (K–8): Sign Up Now
Student-Led Conferences are coming up soon and are an important opportunity for students to share their learning journey with families. During these conferences, students lead the conversation by walking parents through their learning portfolio and reflecting on their growth, with teachers facilitating the experience.
Date: Thursday, March 5, 2026
Time:8:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Families can book their conference time through the sign-up link shared in the parent letter in a separate app message Please note this is a student-focused conference, and teachers will not be able to discuss additional concerns during this time — follow-up meetings can be scheduled separately if needed.
Child care will be available in the gym (ages 3–Grade 3) from 8:30 AM–3:00 PM during your child’s conference time.
There will be no regular classes for K-Grade 8 on this day.
Hot Lunch Reminder
Due to the Student-led Conferences on Thursday, March 5, the hot lunch that was scheduled for that date was moved to Wednesday, March 4. Please update your calendar.
Last week, our ELL students shared a meaningful Lunar New Year celebration with our community, helping us learn more about the traditions, stories, and cultural significance behind this special time. We also celebrated student athlete Jake, who represented MRCS at the BC Wrestling Provincials — an incredible accomplishment and a proud moment for our school community.
