School Traffic & Pick-Up Safety – Please Read
We have been in contact with the City of Maple Ridge regarding safety and traffic concerns during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. To support student safety and positive community relationships with our neighbours, please ensure the following:
Traffic & Parking Expectations
- Do not park or drop off on 204B Avenue — this blocks visibility and causes unsafe congestion
- Wicklund Avenue is a 30 km/hr school zone — please slow down
- Do not cut into the drop-off lane — please join the end of the line
- The parking lot is one-way traffic only — please exit through the marked exit
- The pick-up line must keep moving — if you are waiting more than 1 minute, please loop around or park
- If you are only picking up MS/HS students, consider arriving after 3:10 PM to reduce congestion
- And above all — please show general courtesy and patience with one another
Parking lot attendants will begin supporting smoother traffic flow next week.
Important Intersection Reminder:
Please come to a full stop at the 205 St / 120B Ave intersection. A recent near miss was reported — thank you for helping keep our school zone safe.
Legacy Gala – Ticket Sales Close Friday!
This is the final week to purchase your tickets for the MRCS Legacy Gala on Thursday, November 14. If you’ve been waiting to register — now is the time!
Once tickets close this Friday, October 31, we are no longer able to add additional seats or tables.
We would love to see our MRCS community come together for this special evening of celebration and impact. Don’t miss your chance to be part of it!
Halloween
As we approach the end of October, we want to share a reminder regarding our school’s approach to Halloween. As a Christian school community with families from diverse backgrounds, we aim to create an environment that reflects our shared values. In light of this, we do not hold Halloween celebrations or dress-up events involving costumes on the date of October 31.
