Dear MRCS Families,
We are grateful that our students feel comfortable on campus and that many of you enjoy being here beyond regular school hours. Our building is a special place, and we love that it feels like a second home for so many.
At the same time, we need to reinforce some important supervision expectations to ensure student safety and proper care of our spaces.
Before School
- The school building is not open for general access before 8:00 a.m.
- Students in Grades K-4 must be dropped off at their designated drop-off locations each morning and should not enter or roam the hallways.
- Older students who are permitted to arrive independently are expected to supervise themselves responsibly and may not bring younger siblings with them to wander the building.
After School / Evenings
- Students who are on campus for practices, games, or events must remain in the designated area of their activity.
- They are to be under the supervision of the adult responsible for that event and should not roam hallways, classrooms, or other areas of the building.
- Students must not allow others into the building or wedge doors open, as this creates a security concern.
- This expectation also applies to siblings and visitors who are accompanying families.
We understand and appreciate that our students enjoy being here. However, when adequate supervision is not in place, we cannot have students moving freely throughout the building. These guidelines are in place to ensure safety, security, and respect for our shared spaces.
We ask for your partnership in reviewing these expectations with your children so that together we can maintain a safe and well-cared-for campus.
Thank you for your continued support.
