Student-Led Conferences

Student-Led Conferences (SLCs) in Kindergarten through Grade 8 are a communication tool that gives you insight into your child’s learning progress through your child’s point of view. At the SLC, students share their learning progress by leading you through their learning portfolio and identifying evidence of growth. The SLCs are attended by the student, parent/guardian, and teacher(s). While the teacher will be present in the room, the SLC is led by the student. What are the goals of Student-Led Conferences?

Looking for Volunteers for Move In

Looking for 2025-2026 Host Families

MRCS is now in the process of looking for new host families for the 2025-2026 school year. Students come from a variety of countries and they are placed with a caring, English-speaking, Christian family. Students may stay for a few months up to a year. If hosting one of these students interests your family, please email Karen Bowering, International Program and Homestay Program Coordinator at: for more information about the Homestay program.
