Middle School (Grades 6-8) Coverage Teacher
Employment Type: 0.6-0.7 FTE
Salary Range: $33,052 – $65,422 depending on experience and education
About the Position:
We are seeking a part-time, Middle School Coverage Teacher to join our school.

Qualifications:
- BC-certified teacher (or able to obtain certification)
- Dedicated to Christian education

Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Employment Type: Part-time (15-24 hours/week)
Salary Range: $28-36/hour
Term: Renewable annually based on performance
About the Position:
Maple Ridge Christian School (MRCS) is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-aligned individual to serve as our Marketing & Communications Coordinator. This part-time position is focused on promoting the school’s mission and brand through strategic marketing initiatives, engaging communications, and community visibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for elevating the school’s public presence, supporting student recruitment efforts, and ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Promotion
- Develop and execute a marketing plan aligned with the school’s strategic goals to support student recruitment and retention.
- Plan and run marketing campaigns (digital and print) targeting prospective families in Maple Ridge and surrounding communities.
- Monitor and analyze metrics (e.g. website traffic, ad performance) to assess campaign effectiveness and guide future planning.
- Oversee and maintain MRCS’s visual identity and brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal staff on the production of promotional materials (e.g. brochures, viewbooks, signage, ads).
- Maintain relationships with news organizations to promote MRCS events
- Attend and help coordinate community-facing events to enhance school visibility (e.g. open houses, community fairs).
Communications & Content Creation
- Create and schedule engaging content for MRCS’s social media channels, website, and newsletters.
- Collaborate with school departments to source and share stories that reflect MRCS’s vision and student experience.
- Oversee weekly and seasonal publications (e.g. email newsletters, donor updates, year-end reports).
- Assist in the preparation of press releases, public announcements, and school-wide messages.
Website and Digital Presence Management
- Coordinate regular updates to the MRCS website in collaboration with the IT/Web Coordinator.
- Ensure up-to-date content for admissions, events, announcements, and staff directories.
- Optimize website content for usability, accessibility, and search engine performance.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in marketing and/or communications (preferably in education or nonprofit sectors).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for design and storytelling.
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), content scheduling tools, and email platforms (e.g. Mailchimp).
- Proficiency with graphic design and publishing tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an asset.
- Experience in Google Analytics and Meta Ads is an asset.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- A growing, active Christian faith and a willingness to support and promote the mission and values of MRCS.

Middle & High School Counselor
Employment Type: 0.4 FTE
Salary Range: $31,570-38,000 (dependent on education, qualifications and experience)
About the Position:
The school counsellor will provide one-on-one and small group counselling for students in grades 6-12 and will provide programming to educate students on overall well-being.
Specific duties
- Perform short term counselling and crisis intervention for students as needed
- Support students to develop and maintain healthy relationships and resolve conflicts
- Provide programming to educate students regarding well-being issues
- Consult with teachers and explore possible strategies and solutions for the concerns that arise to support students
- Contribute to building community supports to increase belonging
- Maintain confidential records of interactions with students
- Guidance for teachers in identifying students who may require additional support and intervention
- Identify areas of concern with students and develop strategies to improve the interactions between students
- To implement restorative justice procedures following discipline incidents
- To act as a coordinated and integrated support team to meet individual needs
- To act as a coordinated and integrated support team to meet group or grade level needs
- To facilitate communication with parents from the integrated support team to offer consistent and coordinated advice in supporting their children
- Help families access resources to support their children as necessary
- Consult with/refer to outside agencies regarding necessary supports for student success
Qualifications
- Masters in Counselling or equivalent
- Registered Counsellor, RCC or CCC is preferred
- Experience in education settings will be an asset
- Christian counselling or perspective courses will be an asset

Teacher Teaching On-Call (Elementary & High School)
We are looking for both certified and non-certified individuals to serve as teachers-on-call.
- Certified Teacher Teaching On Call
- Certified Candidates must hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate
- Non-Certified Teacher Teaching On Call
- Non-Certified teachers on call can have relevant education and/or experience with preference given to those with a Bachelor’s Degree or other post-secondary education
- Salary
- Certified Teachers: $325.00 per full day
- Non-Certified Teachers: $300.00 per full day
