Evening Maintenance & Custodial Associate
Reports To: Facilities Manager and/or Operations Manager
Hours: Part-time, 25–30 hours per week
Wage: $23.00/hr
Schedule: Afternoons & evenings (typically after school hours; some flexibility required)

Position Summary
The Evening Maintenance & Custodial Associate plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-prepared learning environment for students, staff, and community users. Working primarily during afternoon and evening hours, this role focuses on daily cleaning, building readiness for the next school day, and light maintenance support.
This position works in coordination with the daytime custodial and maintenance team and may share overlapping duties to ensure consistency, quality, and continuity of care across the campus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Cleaning & Janitorial Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, washrooms, hallways, and common areas after school hours.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces including desks, door handles, railings, switches, and fixtures.
- Empty garbage, recycling, and compost bins; ensure waste is properly disposed of
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors as required.
- Autoscrub the floors as required
- Clean windows as required
- Restock washroom and custodial supplies.
- Respond to spills, accidents, or urgent cleaning needs as they arise.
- Ensure custodial closets and storage areas are kept clean, organized, and secure.
2. Facility Readiness & Support
- Prepare the building for the following school day by ensuring spaces are clean, orderly, and reset.
- Report maintenance concerns (e.g., lighting, plumbing, damage, safety hazards) using established reporting procedures.
- Lock and secure designated areas of the building at the end of the shift.
- Support evening rentals or school events through light setup, teardown, or cleaning as needed.
- Monitor for safety or security concerns and report unusual activity.
3. Light Maintenance & Overlapping Duties
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, or basic repairs (as trained).
- Support periodic deeper cleaning projects in coordination with the Facilities Manager.
- Provide occasional overlap or coverage with daytime custodial staff when required.
- Assist with seasonal tasks or summer cleaning projects as hours allow.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities experience preferred (training provided where needed).

Library Technician
Reports to: Teacher Librarian
Employment Type: 30-35 hours per week (1-year Maternity Leave)
Salary/Hourly Rate: $25.80 – 28.70/hour

Position Summary
The Library Technician supports the educational mission of Maple Ridge Christian School by assisting with the daily operations, organization, and programming of the school library. Working under the direction of the Teacher Librarian, the Library Technician helps create a welcoming, well-managed Library Learning Commons that promotes literacy, inquiry, and student engagement from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and administration. The Library Technician balances routine library operations with active student engagement and support for classroom learning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Circulation and Patron Services
- Manage daily circulation activities including check-in, check-out, renewals, holds, and overdue materials.
- Maintain accurate patron records, including student profiles and images.
- Communicate with parents regarding overdue, lost, or damaged materials and coordinate related payments.
- Prepare and distribute library materials in response to faculty requests and scheduled library periods.
- Perform basic repairs to damaged library resources.
2. Student Engagement and Supervision
- Support and, when scheduled, lead K–5 library periods as planned by the Teacher Librarian.
- Supervise and assist students during scheduled classes, open library times, and transitions.
- Support and promote school-wide reading initiatives (e.g., Reading Link Challenge, Battle of the Books, seasonal reading programs).
- Design and maintain engaging bulletin boards, displays, and reading promotions that reflect the school calendar and learning themes.
3. Collection and Resource Management
- Catalogue, process, label, and shelve new print and digital resources, including textbooks and audiobooks.
- Assist with collection maintenance including shelving, shelf reading, weeding, discarding, and inventory.
- Manage periodicals by processing new issues, maintaining displays, and supporting staff requests.
- Support textbook distribution, circulation, and upkeep in collaboration with teaching staff.
4. Technology and Systems Support
- Provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance for library-related equipment (e.g., iPads, photocopiers, projectors, Apple TVs).
- Develop and maintain proficiency with library management systems (e.g., Destiny Quest), email platforms, and productivity tools.
- Support the use of digital learning resources and the Virtual Library Learning Commons.
5. Collaboration and Professional Growth
- Work collaboratively with the Teacher Librarian and classroom teachers to support curriculum and inquiry-based learning.
- Participate in professional learning related to the BC curriculum, Teaching for Transformation, literacy initiatives, and library best practices.
- Attend relevant workshops, Library Specialist Days, and internal training as required.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of library policies, procedures, and organizational systems.

Community Events Coordinator
Reports to: Leadership Team
Start date: immediately until end of June 2026
Position Summary
The Community Event Coordinator reports to the Leadership team and works in partnership with the development office. The role has the responsibility to develop and nurture impactful community events throughout the school year.

Responsibilities

Elementary Student Support Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Student Support

Position Summary
The Elementary Student Support Coordinator serves as a key bridge between classroom teachers, EAs, and the Director of Student Support. This role focuses on case management, coordination of support for K–5 students with designations or learning needs, and the practical implementation of inclusive practices that foster independence and belonging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management and Team & Resource Coordination
- Manage a caseload of designated and non-designated students in the elementary division.
- Lead the program for social-emotional learning including dedicated small group time
- Lead the development, implementation, and review of IEPs and Safety Plans.
- Coordinate student support team meetings and ensure documentation compliance.
- Manages the program resources (eg. chairs, supplies, etc) for the K-5 program

Position Summary
The Middle/High School Principal provides spiritual, educational, and administrative leadership for Grades 6–12 Program, MS Athletic Director and the HS Athletic Director. They ensure excellence in teaching, learning, student formation, staff development, and community engagement within the MS/HS divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Spiritual & Community Leadership
- Cultivate a Christ-centered school culture for Grades 6–12.
- Promote student and staff spiritual development through leadership presence, mentorship, and Christian worldview integration.
2. Instructional Leadership

Position Summary
In partnership with the Assistant Principal (Learning), Director of Community & Culture and the Director of Inclusive Education, the Elementary Principal provides spiritual, educational, and administrative leadership for the Kindergarten–Grade 5 program at Maple Ridge Christian School. This role ensures a thriving, Christ-centered learning environment, strong parent relationships, and consistent support for teachers and students. The principal is responsible for overseeing instruction, student well-being, staffing support, curriculum alignment, school culture, and daily operations within the elementary division.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Spiritual & Community Leadership
- Promote a Christ-centered environment rooted in MRCS’s mission and biblical throughlines
