We are in the final stretch before the Christmas Break! Here are some items to note:
- Tomorrow (December 14) there are Christmas concerts at 1:30 PM and 7:00 PM. These concerts will feature the kindergarten to Gr. 6 students and the jazz band.
For those who cannot make it in-person, there will be a livestream of the afternoon performance that will remain online for viewing here.

- Thursday (December 15) is Pajama Day and a free pancake lunch! All K-12 students are invited to wear their coziest PJs and enjoy a pancake lunch with orange slices and a juice box!
- Friday (December 16) there are Christmas chapels at these times:
8:35 AM: middle and high school
10:45 AM: elementary schoolPlease note: food bank donations of non-perishable food are being collected at the elementary Christmas chapel.
- Friday (December 16) is an early dismissal at 12:00 PM! School will then be out for the Christmas Break (December 19 – January 2).
- We are awaiting details about Ms. Charlong’s memorial service, which will likely happen over the Christmas Break. We will send out information when it is available.
As our school community grapples with the loss of Ms. Charlong, we honour her treasured time among us as a teacher, coach, and athletic director. She contributed to our middle and high school in countless ways, but nothing was above Ms. Charlong’s desire for us all to know Jesus more deeply, to be in the Word daily, and love our Saviour completely. We are forever grateful to God for the blessing of her life at Maple Ridge Christian School.
