Dear Society Members,
Spring is in the air and it seems like the right time for a brief but important board update; we will have more extensive updates to share about board work at our upcoming Spring General Meeting on May 24 to be held in person in the Library Learning Commons.
Building Project
While the demolition of the old wing is probably still the best visual highlight thus far, important work continues with the site preparation. Critical work creating deep trenching for drainage plumbing has taken place along with site survey work. There has also been a lot of site excavation done in preparation for foundation work to take place later this spring.
Reunited Gala
Ticket sales end Friday, April 28 at midnight and you can buy them here: Reunited Tickets
The Silent Auction will open online on Friday, April 28 as well, so stay tuned for that!
Tuition / Budget 2023/24
Planning is well underway for next school year. What should come as no surprise is that there will be a higher than usual tuition increase for next year. The reason for this is mostly tied to staff compensation. In order for us to continue to attract new staff and stay competitive, we need to compensate our staff accordingly. We love our staff — and we believe they are what differentiates us within the education environment — we need to support them. More information will come when the tuition grid is finalized for next year in the coming weeks.
