Hobbies or past times: Puzzles bring me joy. I loved jigsaw puzzles when I was little. Completing a puzzle was always a challenge for me. I enjoyed being able to solve puzzles.
Core Competency I developed in my time at MRCS: Communication: This skill is the Core Competency I have developed in my time at MRCS. Teachers and students love to talk to you. They share their hearts with me. Through this, I learned that I also need to share my heart with others. Definitely, my communication skill have developed as I have learned to have a conversation with someone.
Biblical Through-line I developed in my time at MRCS: Community-Server: The one biblical through-line I have developed is community-servers, which means to build peace and heal brokenness, as both communal and global citizens. My first year in MRCS, I was not able to talk or understand English a lot. I was afraid of talking to others, and being interacted with in the class. But some people in our class, they always came to ask me “How are you doing, how was going so far at school, do you need help?” These words were so warm, and helped me to understand that I am not alone in this community. I received a lot help from this community of MRCS. I think that is an amazing way to serve the community by helping others.
How my time at MRCS developed my relationship with God and with others: The most amazing part of MRCS is the devotion every morning. I learned various ways to connect with God and different explanations of the Bible.
A highlight from my time at MRCS: The best memory is Esperanza. I got this great chance to worship God, and made closer relationships with my friends. That’s definitely the one I need to cherish.
Future plans for after graduation: I am going to McMaster University or SFU to study in the Faculty of Science with an undeclared major. That is because I want to give myself more options for my future.
One thing about MRCS that I want others to know: That it is a school full of love! You also can develop many connections with God here!
