Hobbies or past times: I really love hunting and being outside.
Core Competency I developed in my time at MRCS: Social Responsibility: I think I’ve developed Social Responsibility – Building Relationships. I’m usually a really shy person, but I’ve come to learn that not everyone is going to hurt me and now I’m comfortable talking to people-not big crowds though that freaks me out still-but with my class I’m able to have relationships with them and be their friend.
Biblical Through-line I developed in my time at MRCS: Beauty-Creator: I have learnt to be a beauty-creator. The way I have developed this is by working in construction and building houses.
How my time at MRCS developed my relationship with God and with others: My relationship with God has become stronger by the community I have been a part of. The people around me encourage each other to grow in faith.
A highlight from my time at MRCS: I remember my first year at MRCS. We had an October costume dress up day, and I wore an inflatable dinosaur costume. All the little kids, and some older kids, saw me and they all had huge smiles on their faces and wanted to get pictures with me. I loved that.
Future plans for after graduation: I am going to work. I’m currently working on my carpentry apprenticeship so I work for a construction company called Truelight Building and Development. They’re a really good group of guys and I really enjoy working with them. After I’m done my apprenticeship, I would like to take over my dad’s construction company and subcontract through Truelight, but still technically be working for myself.
One thing about MRCS that I want others to know: That the teachers are always there for you.
