Celebrating our Grade 12 Graduates

Abigail

Abigail is looking forward to joining the Barnabas Camp Crew on Keats Island for a long-term placement this fall. We are grateful she can share her gifts with this special place that is close to her heart.

Adara

Adara plans to take a gap year and is pursuing a volunteer opportunity in London with Girl Guides. She later plans to attend Douglas College and is considering a degree in Social Work. During her time at MRCS, Adara has been a valued member of the graduating class, and we are excited to see where her next steps lead.

Addison

Addison will be travelling with family through Poland and Italy this summer before beginning work with Vector and Cutco and later completing flight attendant training. One of Addison’s favourite memories from MRCS was singing worship at Esperanza and experiencing the strong sense of connection and community during the trip. We thank Addison for her efforts to connect her graduating class through planned activities and memories she collected. We wish her God’s blessings.

Branson

Branson plans to work after graduation to save money before attending Summit Pacific College. One of Branson’s favourite memories from MRCS was the Keats trip and the experiences shared there with classmates and staff. We look forward to hearing about Branson’s next steps.

Bryony

Bryony plans to work after graduation while considering where to pursue post-secondary studies. Bryony has also been awarded the Trinity Western University President’s Scholarship valued at $6,000 should she choose to attend. We look forward to seeing where her future path takes her.

Caden

Caden plans to work over the summer before joining the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. Some of Caden’s favourite memories at MRCS came from service trips to Esperanza and Keats, where he enjoyed serving alongside friends and sharing many memorable moments together. He also fondly remembers watching Monsieur Rick’s travel videos during French class on Friday afternoons. We look forward to seeing what God has in store for Caden.

Daniel

Daniel plans to continue working at Tim Hortons before attending Camosun College to study Civil Engineering. We are excited to see Daniel pursue his interests and wish him all the best in this next chapter.

Davin

Davin will be studying psychology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan this fall. One of Davin’s favourite memories from MRCS was taking cooking class alongside Malachi and Eli. We are excited for Davin’s next steps.

Eli

Eli will be attending Columbia Bible College. He will be playing basketball and pursuing the EA program. He looks forward to blending both of these worlds. Eli’s favourite MRCS memories center around basketball, including competing at provincials in Grade 10, travelling for tournaments, and the many experiences and friendships built through the program. We wish Eli all of God’s blessings as he pursues his next chapter.

Fope

Fope is still considering plans for after graduation while exploring future opportunities. One of Fope’s favourite memories from MRCS was simply his very first day at the school. We are thankful to have had Fope join our community and are blessed with the joy he brought to his class the last three years.

Hayley

Hayley is planning to move to El Salvador for a few months in November to learn more about her culture. She then hopes to work on a farm in Panama before returning to BC in the summer of 2027 to attend KPU for agricultural and environmental studies. A good memory Hayley has from MRCS is her time in Esperanza where she made meaningful connections with people in MRCS and made the decision to get baptized, giving her life to God. We wish Hayley all of the best as she pursues these plans.

Irene

Irene will attend Capilano University to pursue a Bachelor of Early Childhood Care and Education. During the summer, Irene and her family will also travel through eastern Canada, including Quebec City and Ottawa. One of Irene’s favourite MRCS memories was participating in the high school showcase, where she shared Chinese calligraphy and culture with visitors and peers, helping celebrate diversity within the MRCS community. We appreciated being a part of Irene’s educational experiences.

Kasey

Kasey plans to work over the summer before attending Trinity Western University to study psychology where he received the TWU Dean’s Scholarship valued at $1,600. Favourite memories from MRCS include the trips to Esperanza and Keats, along with memorable moments shared in Mr. Enns’ math class. We look forward to seeing where God takes Kasey.

Keshi

Keshi will attend Trinity Western University after graduation to study Linguistics where she has been awarded the TWU President’s Scholarship valued at $6,000. We are excited to see all that lies ahead in this next season.

Malachi

Malachi will begin a plumbing apprenticeship with Pitt Meadows Plumbing and Mechanical after graduation while considering future plans for the fall. One of Malachi’s favourite memories from MRCS was high school camp and the friendships built through those experiences. We wish Malachi God’s blessings as he pursues his post-secondary pathways.

Reuben

Reuben plans to work during the summer before heading to Ontario in the fall to attend Redeemer University and study Social Sciences. One of Reuben’s most meaningful memories from MRCS was being baptized during the service trip to Keats Island. We look forward to hearing about Reuben’s experiences and growth as he moves away.

Sarah

Sarah plans to spend time with family and friends over the summer before beginning the Bachelor of Science program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan in the fall. She hopes to transfer to the Nursing program and enter that career as her ultimate goal. One of Sarah’s favourite memories from MRCS was serving on the Esperanza missions trip during Grade 11, where she experienced meaningful friendships, spiritual growth, and many memorable moments with classmates. We look forward to seeing Sarah continue to excel in all she does.

Suki

After graduation, Sukhpreet plans to take a gap year to explore her interests and consider what she wants the next stage of her life to look like. During that year, she hopes to travel, make memories with friends, and work. After her gap year, she plans to attend Douglas College and pursue a Veterinary Technician program.

Tyson

Tyson plans to enlist in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Infanteer after graduation. Tyson’s favourite memories from MRCS include the Esperanza and Keats trips, where he grew in both friendships and faith. Being baptized at Keats remains a particularly meaningful milestone in his faith journey. We are excited to see where Tyson’s plans take him.

Zachery

Zachery plans to work at the school over the summer before pursuing a career in the trades, with a particular interest in electrical work. Zachery’s favourite MRCS memory involved a dramatic moment while vacuuming the old drama room when an outlet caught fire — thankfully ending with a memorable story rather than disaster. We are excited for Zachery’s next steps.
