We are starting the year off with the fabulous news that 49 donors participated in our Giving December campaign—allowing us to fully maximized all of the matching donation and raise a total of $50,835! These funds will go towards our urgently needed new building project. Thank you to everyone who answered the call and supported the future of MRCS.
Why is the new building so significant? Because we have:
- 40% of our students outside in portables every day (Grades 4-7 as well as music and drama students)
- 61 students currently waiting in our waitpool because there is no space for them in the needed classes
- Over the past 15 years, 1500+ high school athletic practices and games in rented space at a local rec center because our gym dimensions are too small for high school athletic requirements (due to COVID protocols we are not currently participating in athletic games/tournaments with other schools).
The building project will directly address all of these problems and will go on to open up further opportunities for the students of Maple Ridge Christian School. We invite you to be a part of this exciting project that will have an immediate kingdom impact and will matter for generations to come.

Please Slow Down
We have received several complaints from our community neighbours regarding our parent vehicles driving too quickly and not fully stopping at the crosswalks and stop signs. For the streets adjacent to the school, the maximum speed is 30 km/h and vehicles must come to a complete stop at crosswalks and stop signs. Please help us be good neighbours by driving slowly and cautiously on the roads around MRCS.
Let the Office Know
If your child is going to be late/absent or if s/he will have to leave school during the day — let the office know! Please call 604.465.4442 or email (mrcs.office@mrcs.ca) the office to explain why your child is missing school to have it properly recorded. Students who are leaving during the school day need to go to the front office to sign out before leaving the school.
