Do you know someone who would like to change our world at Maple Ridge Christian School?
We recognize that the pandemic has put many people in a place of financial uncertainty. We also had our plans interrupted by COVID. A week before the lockdowns hit last March, we had just launched the World Changers capital campaign to raise the funds needed for a classroom building expansion and the construction of a high school gymnasium.
Despite the challenges of COVID, the need for our project still persists:
- Nearly every week, new families contact us trying to find a place for their children to receive Christian education in a mission-minded community.
- Although we are a K-12 school, seven grades are completely full.
- Our wait pool continues to grow: even with the addition of a second class, we already have four families in the wait pool for kindergarten 2021.
- We ran out of space in our school building decades ago and currently have 40% of our student population in portables on any given day.
- The portables were already used when we bought them in the 1990s; despite our best efforts to repair and maintain them, they must be replaced.
- We have one elementary-sized gymnasium, so (over the past 15 years) our high school athletic teams have spent 1500+ practices and games in rented space at a local rec centre.
New classroom and gym space will open up new spots for prospective families, will replace the portables, and will bring our high school athletics home.
If you know people who are looking for a local project to support, who are passionate about spreading the love of Christ and the knowledge of His Word — we are in need of their help!
This month, we are reaching out through MRCS families and our local churches to see if people will change our world by becoming monthly donors. Our Board of Directors spent a week praying over the goal of enrolling 160 monthly donors.
Each monthly donor will be represented by a heart that will be pasted on the side of one of our portables. We hope to cover the portable in hearts that each represent support for our school!
MRCS students connected to a monthly donor will receive a new gym bag! We hope this makes it fun and rewarding for our students to get involved and help make this building project happen.
We are trusting that there are many people who will embrace partnering with us and will change our world at MRCS. If you would like to bring attention to our building project and our mission, here are two links to share: World Changers » Donate Now »

Join us on our adventure! The event of 2021 that you have been waiting for – the MRCS annual dinner and auction – has moved online this year. We are excited to continue this tradition from the comfort of home!
When is it? Saturday, April 24 at 6:00 PM
How is it happening? From April 10-24, there will be a selection of auction items available for bids via an online auction website (which will be free to access).
On April 24, we will host a FREE evening event over Zoom. There will be fun activities and entertainment for the whole family as well as a small live auction.
What’s for dinner? We are excited to announce that Capri Italian Bakery + Bistro will provide dinner options for those who would like to purchase a take-and-bake meal to enjoy the night of the event. More information will be sent out regarding food orders in the coming months.
What are we fundraising for? We are in need of $2 million, so we can break ground and get our much-needed building expansion underway. This new space will permanently replace our portables and bring our Grade 4-7 students as well as the music and drama classes back into the school building. The new construction will also provide a gym with the proper dimensions for our high school athletics and will create needed office space for staff.
If you have any questions, please contact Monet Lamphere at email@example.com. If you have any items/services you would like to donate to the auction, please fill out this form: Auction Item Donation Form »
